The second game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the second game in Group A of the tournament was a lot less spectacular than the opening game yesterday. Egypt and Uruguay did not show lots of things on offense and if it was not for the late goal which Uruguay scored, the game would have finished 0-0. The first half of the second game of the World Cup could have been easily labeled as boring. Excluding few shots done from both sides, the only serious goal chance was for Luis Suarez. In the middle of the half after a corner for Uruguay, the ball got into the legs of the forward of Barcelona who missed opening the score even though that he got the ball few meters away from the goal.

The second half was pretty much a copy of the first one. The difference was that in front of Suarez and Cavani there were few chances that either ended with a miss or a save by the Egyptian goalie Mohamed El Shenawy who had a great first World Cup game in his career. With the absence of Mo Salah, the Egyptian national football team was not able to seriously threatened the goalkeeper of Uruguay Fernando Muslera. When the game was going to end as a draw (0-0), after a corner from the right side of the field, the central defender of Uruguay and Atletico Madrid Jose Maria Gimenez (89’) scored a perfect header that gave the three points to the South Americans and put the Egyptian fans into agony.
