Cosmos arena also called as Samara Arena is scheduled to open in 2018. The stadium is built in a location far away from the city. The Stadium was designed in 2012. As the name Cosmos, the stadium has adapted designs that shows the various structures of space. The initial work of the stadium started in 2014. The work was completed by the end of December 2017. The stadium has a seating capacity of 45,000 seats.

The overall construction cost of the stadium was $320million. After the world cup, the stadium will be the home for the club FC Krylia Sovetov


FIFA 2018

Cosmos Arena will be one of the hosts of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Four group matches, one match of Round of 16  and one quarterfinal will be held at the Stadium. After the opening of the Stadium, the first event to be held is the 2018 FIFA World Cup
