Jerome Boateng might miss the World Cup tournament for Germany because of muscle problems. Boateng was one of the most important players of Germany not only in the last World Cup in Brazil, where the Europeans won the title but also since 2011 when he got transferred to Bayern Munich. Since that year Boateng had been an absolute starter for both the best German club team and for the national team of the country. The problems with Jerome are the injuries which had been haunting him since around a year. During the last year, Boateng had been fighting with different kind of injuries. Luckily, he had been healthy in the last couple of weeks which was great news not only for Bayern fans but also for the fans of the German national football team.
Joachim Low first choice for central defender received another injury during the first half of the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid that was played on Wednesday in Munich. Once again Jerome Boateng has problems with his thighs which had been his weak point throughout his whole career. His last injury is not among the worst once, but the prescript recovery time given by the doctors for his current thigh injury is from 4 to 6 weeks which puts his World Cup participation into serious doubt.
