Japan coach Nishino Akira hopes his side would recuperate from a de-motivating 3-0 lose to Ghana and fair well in “an important test” that awaits in the form of Switzerland.

The Blue Samurais are currently training in Switzerland and they would be facing their hosts in a pre World Cup friendly on Friday.

“This match will be an important test match ahead of the World Cup,” Nishino said.

“The players’ condition has improved each day during our camp in Austria. The players have also nurtured a common understanding on where the team wants to be and how we want to approach the matches at the World Cup. I am hoping that the players can showcase that tomorrow.”

Japan have one more friendly match against Paraguay before they take on Colombia in their World Cup opener on June 19.
