Probably the most interesting game for the day was between the teams of Poland and Colombia. Both nations entered this game after a failure in the first match of the tournament. Both teams shockingly lost their first games and lost their statute of favorites in the group. In this was the Polish and the Colombian players had the only target of winning this game. Luckily for the whole of Colombia, the South Americans won the game with 3-0 and kept their chances for progress. In the same time, Poland is eliminated from the 2018 FIFA World Cup after starting the tournament with hopes for something memorable.

Since the beginning of the game, it was clear that Colombia is the team with the better ideas. Juan Cuadrado together with James Rodriguez were just amazing for the South Americans and the opening goal for them was a matter of time. After a corner in the 40th minute, the defender of Barcelona and Colombia Yerry Mina was left unmarked and open the score for his nation. This gave extra powers to the already better performing Colombians and in one of their counter-attacks in the second half, Radamel Falcao (70’) pretty much ended the drama making the score 2-0.

This goal finally crushed the hopes of Poland for something great in a game in which they had only a few chances in front of goal. Until the end, Colombia scored a third goal, scored by the best player of the team in this game the winger of Juventus Juan Cuadrado (75’).

By the end of the game, Poland tried its best to at least score a goal for its honor, but all of the chances of Poland were successfully stopped by the goalie of the South Americans David Ospina.
