Only 32 teams in the world participate in the World Cups (as of right now). For this reason, many big stars had missed the tournament through the ages. The tournament in Russia will be missed by nations like Chile, Netherlands, Italy, USA, and Wales. Our journalist team decided to present to you a team composed only of players from nations that failed to qualify for the World Cup. Let’s all see what kind of stars are going to miss the biggest tournament in the world.

We start with the goalkeepers. Our virtual team will have Gianluigi Buffon as the starting goalie. It is really sad that Italy will not be part of the World Cup, but the miss of a charismatic player like Buffon makes the things even worst. His potential backups can be Claudio Bravo (Chile) and Jasper Cillessen (Netherlands). On defense we decided to give starting position to the Bayern Munich defender David Alaba (Austria),

Liverpool’s new star and most expensive defender Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands),

the new leader of FC Milan Leo Bonucci (Italy)

and to the fullback of Roma Alessandro Florenzi (Italy).

As reserves, we use Stefan de Vrij (Netherlands), Giorgio Chiellini (Italy), Ben Davies (Wales) and Gary Medel (Chile).

In the midfield line, we continue with Arturo Vidal (Chile) who is one of the best midfielders in the world. His partners in the midfield are going to be Juventus’s star Miralem Pjanic (Bosnia & Herzegovina) and Napoli’s captain Marek Hamsik (Slovakia). Substitutions in here can be Aaron Ramsey (Wales), Georginio Wijnaldum (Netherlands) and Marco Verratti (Italy).  We finish with great attacking line. The new addition of Manchester United Alexis Sanchez (Chile) on the left wing, Edin Dzeko (Bosnia & Herzegovina) at the strikers’ position and Gareth Bale (Wales) on the right wing. If needed this team can get a boost from players like Arjen Robben (Netherlands), Aubameyang (Gabon) and Lorenzo Insigne (Italy). Potential World Cup winner, right?
